CCI Welcomes Beauceron Security to Our National Network of Innovators
November 10, 2025
The Council of Canadian Innovators is proud to welcome Beauceron Security and CEO and Co-Founder David Shipley to our national network of high-growth technology companies.
Based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Beauceron Security is a leader in empowering organizations to build stronger, smarter, and more resilient cyber defenses by focusing on people as their greatest security asset. Founded by cybersecurity experts, Beauceron's innovative platform blends behavioral science, data analytics, and adaptive learning to create meaningful, measurable improvements in security culture.
Before founding Beauceron, David Shipley served as Director of Strategic Initiatives at the University of New Brunswick, where he led the university's cybersecurity initiatives. His work there inspired the founding of Beauceron—based on the insight that lasting security requires engaging and educating people, not just deploying technology. Today, David is a sought-after advisor and speaker on cybersecurity leadership, culture, and strategy, engaging frequently with executives, boards, and policymakers across Canada.
"At a time when cyber threats are growing more sophisticated, Beauceron Security is taking a fundamentally human approach to defense," said CCI President Benjamin Bergen. "By empowering people as active participants in cybersecurity, they're helping organizations build resilience from the inside out. We're excited to welcome David and the Beauceron team to the Council."
Since 2015, the Council of Canadian Innovators has been dedicated to supporting Canada's high-growth technology companies, working with government leaders to co-develop strategies that unlock the country's innovation potential.
