CCI Welcomes BUZZ HPC to Our National Network of Innovators

The Council of Canadian Innovators is pleased to welcome BUZZ HPC and President & COO Craig Tavares to our national network of high-growth technology companies.

BUZZ HPC is a sovereign AI cloud and high-performance computing provider specializing in large-scale GPU clusters designed for machine learning, artificial intelligence, and scientific computing. As an NVIDIA Cloud Partner, the company offers thousands of cutting-edge GPUs available through Managed Kubernetes, Slurm, or bare-metal configurations.

Since 2017, BUZZ HPC has built and operated secure, sustainable, cool-climate data centres across Canada and the Nordics. Leveraging 100% renewable energy, BUZZ delivers "Green GPUs" at industrial scale, combining world-class compute infrastructure with climate-aligned operations. With facilities across North America and Europe, the company is emerging as a leading provider of sovereign AI cloud capacity for high-growth businesses, research institutions, and public-sector organizations.

Craig Tavares brings more than 20 years of experience across digital infrastructure, cloud, telecom, and energy. His career includes senior leadership roles at Cogeco, Aptum, and Apple, where he scaled global cloud, data centre, and hybrid infrastructure businesses. Earlier, he co-founded Kingston Co-gen, leading M&A and development of 300MW of power generation while pioneering one of North America's first HPC-enabled power-plant data centres.
