Peter Owsiany

Mr. Owsiany has served as President and CEO of Accerta since May 2016, bringing over two decades of global operations and sales leadership with Canadian and U.S.-based multinationals, including international postings in Japan, Singapore, the U.S., and South Africa. Prior to joining Accerta, he was Managing Director of Sterling Commerce Asia, overseeing Asian operations from Singapore. Mr. Owsiany holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Privacy and Cybersecurity from Osgoode Hall Law School, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, a B.Comm. from Concordia University, and has completed executive programs at Harvard, Wharton-SMU, Schulich, and Osgoode Hall.

He is recognized for his expertise in digital transformation, public sector innovation, cybersecurity, and privacy, and is committed to advancing organizational strategy and stakeholder engagement in complex environments. Mr. Owsiany is an active community leader, supporting several not-for-profit organizations in the Greater Toronto Area.

His board experience includes serving as a director at Accerta since 2016, as well as board roles with the Children's Treatment Network, Ontario Legal Aid (Chair, Audit Committee), York Regional Food Bank (Vice-Chair), and the Institute of Corporate Directors (Ontario, York Region). Mr. Owsiany is known for his strategic insight, collaborative approach, and willingness to challenge assumptions to drive clarity and impact.
