Stéphane Garneau’s career in the IT world took off very early in his life. He wasn’t yet 16 when he set up his first IT company. In 2009, he acquired Micrologic, which initially sold computer equipment. In less than a decade, the company developed several business clusters to meet the needs of thousands of customers in the private and public sectors. True to his reputation as a visionary, in 2014 Stéphane leveraged the potential of the cloud and launched Cirrus, a Canadian sovereign cloud, in a market occupied almost exclusively by global industry giants. Today, it’s the largest sovereign cloud in the country, serving large private and public organizations. Under his leadership, the company has generated over $1.5 billion in revenues, seen its sales increase tenfold, and grown from a staff that could be counted on two hands, to hundreds of experts.

Stéphane Garneau is a thoughtful leader who has propelled the company to the ranks of Quebec’s top SMEs, and then to one of Quebec’s top 300 companies in 2024 and one of Canada’s largest IT providers. The Association québécoise des technologies and Les Affaires both named him CEO of the Year in 2022. In 2024, he was a finalist for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year.In addition to his entrepreneurial success, Stéphane is known for his human-centric approach, his empathy and his authenticity. His employees are proud to be part of the Micrologic team, but above all, they’ll tell you that they’re happy to work “for and with Stef.”
