CCI Welcomes Micrologic to our National Network of Innovators
September 3, 2025
The Council of Canadian Innovators is proud to welcome Micrologic and CEO Stéphane Garneau to Canada’s growing network of high-growth technology companies.
Headquartered in Québec City, Micrologic is a 100% Canadian-owned company that has built a globally recognized Canadian sovereign cloud. Since 2014, the company has been hosting, processing, and protecting the sensitive data of large public and private organizations. With Micrologic, data is safeguarded on domestic soil by Canadian experts and subject exclusively to Canadian laws—a major advantage in the face of growing threats of foreign interference.
Founded in 1983, Micrologic has grown into one of Canada’s largest IT providers with hundreds of experts supporting clients in their digital transformation. The company offers diversified solutions in data centre technology, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence that are secure, flexible, efficient, and innovative. Powered entirely by clean energy, its Cirrus platform has become the largest sovereign cloud in the country and was recently recognized as a Representative Vendor on the 2025 Gartner® Market Guide for Digital Sovereignty Solutions
CEO Stéphane Garneau acquired Micrologic in 2009 and has since transformed it from a regional IT provider into a national leader in cloud technology. A visionary leader, he launched Cirrus in 2014, positioning Micrologic as a trusted alternative to global industry giants. Under his leadership, the company has generated over $1.5 billion in revenues, seen sales increase tenfold, and earned recognition as one of Quebec’s top 300 companies and Canada’s largest IT providers. He was named CEO of the Year by the Association québécoise des technologies and Les Affaires in 2022, and was a finalist for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year in 2024.
“Micrologic is demonstrating that Canada can lead the world in secure, sovereign cloud technology,” said CCI President Benjamin Bergen. “Their work ensures that Canadian data is protected by Canadian laws, a critical advantage for governments and enterprises facing growing global threats.”
Since 2015, the Council of Canadian Innovators has been dedicated to supporting Canada’s high-growth technology companies, working with government leaders to co-develop strategies that unlock the country’s innovation potential.
