CCI Expands Programs Team with New Project Coordinator
May 8, 2026
The Council of Canadian Innovators (CCI) is pleased to welcome Diva Gupta as Project Coordinator, a full-time role that will support CCI’s national programming, member events, education initiatives, and special projects across the organization.
Diva has been part of the CCI team since 2025, first joining as an Events Intern and quickly becoming a valuable contributor to the organization’s convening work. In her new role, she will help coordinate the planning and delivery of CCI’s national education programming and innovation summits, including the Innovation Governance Program and Cannector, CCI’s new executive search service.
“Diva has been an important part of CCI’s events and programming team since she first joined as an intern,” said Gabriella Boulos, VP of Programs and Events at the Council of Canadian Innovators. “She brings care, focus, and professionalism to the work that helps our programs run smoothly and creates a strong experience for members, speakers, partners, and participants. We are thrilled to welcome her into this full-time role as CCI continues to expand its national programming and member engagement.”
Diva is a graduate of the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management and Economics and Management Sciences. She is passionate about community development, a focus she brought to life through the Tri-Mentoring Program at TMU, where she helped design and lead peer support initiatives that connected students and strengthened community on campus.
“At CCI, I’ve had the opportunity to support programs and events that bring together some of Canada’s most ambitious innovators,” said Diva Gupta, Project Coordinator at the Council of Canadian Innovators. “I’m excited to continue growing with the team and contribute to work that helps Canadian scale-ups build stronger networks, access practical support, and connect with the people and ideas shaping Canada’s innovation economy.”
Diva’s move into a full-time role reflects CCI’s continued investment in programming, events, and member experience as the organization expands its national work. Her project coordination support will help CCI deliver high-quality programs, strengthen operational capacity, and continue building spaces where Canada’s innovation leaders can connect, learn, and grow.
About the Council of Canadian Innovators
The Council of Canadian Innovators is a national member-based organization reshaping how governments across Canada think about innovation policy, and supporting homegrown scale-ups to drive prosperity. Established in 2015, CCI represents and works with over 170 of Canada’s fastest-growing technology companies. Our members are the CEOs, founders, and top senior executives behind some of Canada’s most successful ‘scale-up’ companies. All our members are job and wealth creators, investors, philanthropists, and experts in their fields of health tech, cleantech, fintech, cybersecurity, AI and digital transformation. Companies in our portfolio are market leaders in their verticals, commercialize their technologies in over 190 countries, and generate between $10M-$750M in annual recurring revenue. We advocate on their behalf for government strategies that increase their access to skilled talent, strategic capital, and new customers, as well as expanded freedom to operate for their global pursuits of scale.
