CCI Welcomes HalfSerious to Our Network of National Innovators
February 13, 2026
The Council of Canadian Innovators is pleased to welcome HalfSerious and Founder and Chief Executive Officer Eric Bourget to our national network of high-growth technology companies.
HalfSerious is an invention company that works with organizations facing complex, long-standing challenges. For more than 15 years, the team has helped clients move past operational roadblocks by designing and delivering innovative, product-grade technology solutions built for real working environments.
HalfSerious is also the company behind SquadBox.ai, a platform built to lower the cost of AI agents and accelerate deployment without compromising on security. SquadBox supports a “hybrid team” model by enabling an AI teammate to take on administrative, repetitive, and clerical work so people can focus on higher-value work.
Eric Bourget is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of HalfSerious. A frequent speaker and industry panelist, he has focused his career on improving the human experience in the modern workplace by reducing what he calls “the grind,” the repetitive tasks that drain time and momentum. He leads a team of designers and technologists with a deep focus on user experience and practical delivery.
“HalfSerious starts with how work really happens, then builds tools that hold up in the day-to-day,” said Patrick Searle, Chief Executive Officer of the Council of Canadian Innovators. “They help organizations get unstuck on long-running problems by reducing the operational friction that slows teams down.”
Since 2015, the Council of Canadian Innovators has been dedicated to supporting Canada’s high-growth technology companies, working with government leaders to co-develop strategies that strengthen Canadian innovation, productivity, and long-term economic resilience.
