Dana O'Born

Dana O’Born is the Vice President, Strategy and Advocacy at the Council of Canadian Innovators (CCI), a national business council representing over 150 of Canada’s fastest-growing technology-intensive companies. CCI is exclusively dedicated to helping high-growth Canadian-based technology firms scale-up globally by advancing public policy strategies that increase access to talent, capital, and customers for domestic innovation firms. At CCI, Dana leads the Council’s pan-Canadian advocacy efforts and has been responsible for spearheading CCI’s advocacy for national data governance and intellectual property strategies for the 21st century economy. Born in Toronto, Ontario, and raised in Antignonish, Nova Scotia, Dana holds a BA from Wilfrid Laurier University, an LL.B from the University of Edinburgh a Master’s of Business and Law from Bucerius University in Hamburg, Germany. In her free time, Dana serves as the Chair of Cycle Toronto and Vice-Chair of Equal Voice Toronto.
